This year's gathering of Istrian clubs students from Zagreb and Rijeka was held in ZEC Speleo house, called "Istrijada 2016".

The gathering took place for the 22nd time, in the period from 28th to 29th May 2016, in Vodice.

Students toured Speleo house and presentation space "Museum of karst", followed by the official opening of Istrijada.

A weekend course for patrol leaders

As part of the Forest school - West Region, a Weekend course for patrol leaders was held in Vodice, from April 15 to 17, 2016. 
The course was attended by 10 participants from Pula, Rijeka and Buzet and 6 speakers.
Throughout the two-day course, the present participants gathered valuable information through numberous thematic areas.

Eighteen members of the club Brđani, Scout group Istria Pula stayed in the ZEC "Speleo house" from April 8th to April 10th 2016.

The theme of the meeting was the help of adult experienced leader peers to younger members.

In addition to these topics present members were also introduced to a significant theme of "Crisis management in Scout camps".

The visitors toured the trail "From spring to spring" and educational trail "Paths of herbs" under the expert guidance of employees of Public Institution Natura Histrica.

On Tuesday 15 September 2015 the Science and Education Centre Speleo House located in Vodice was officially opened.

Among numerous guests, the event was attended by the President of the Region of Istria M.Sc. Valter Flego, the Mayor of the Lanišće Municipality Neven Mikac and the Mayor of Buzet Siniša Žulić.

The ceremony began with the sounds of the Croatian, Istrian and European anthem, followed by a welcoming speech given by the ŽIVO! project manager Ms. Ljiljana Dravec.

Opening of the educational path "PATHS OF MEDICAL HERBS"

On September 5th, as part of the Day of open borders Vodice - Golac, on Ćićarija, educational path "Path of medical herbs " was officially opened.

The path was opened by Mayor of the Municipality Lanišće g. Neven Mikac, while expert guidance along the educational path, to all interested visitors, was presented by Slavko Brana, an associate of PI Natura Histrica.

Karst Research Institute ZRC SAZU developed an educational documentary focusing on the protection of underground water and the importance of karst springs for high-quality supply of the population with drinking water.

A small group of cubs and junior scouts of Scouts squad „Istria“ from Pula, along with guests from Buzet, visited the Science and education center Speleo House in Vodice from 24th till 28th of June 2015.
